"Interpreter of Maladies"

Reading "Interpreter of Maladies" by Jhumpa Lahiri. Read only the very first story - 'A Temporary Matter" and it is a stunner.It tells about the aftershocks of a couple who are undergoing the tragedy of a still-born child. The humane element grips the casual reader within a few lines. Though portrayed on an Indian couple residing in Boston, this fact does not hamper to give the story an universal look. The suble details and the delicate nuances are just marvelous. A great book to be enjoyed by all short-story lovers. Looking forward to reading the rest of the collection.
