"HOLI" and other things

Writing after a long gap. 25th was Holi- one of my favorite festivals of India. Did not go out this year though. Enjoyed the view from the terrace. Saw the people smearing colors on each other. Just love to see the children playing. Remembered when I was about their age, when bro and me used to throw jets of liquid color on just about anybody passing our house. Used to wait the whole year for this particular day. Also thought of Dolididi who took us out on this day and with plastic covers wrapped over our heads, the fun we used to have running after anyone trying to elude colors. At that time I thought how could anyone NOT ENJOY being drenched in the colors of the rainbow! Perhaps now I know. It really took a hell lot of time to wash off those colors to get ourselves back from the ghostly beings we were transformed to. But the fun was worth it.
Learned bro also ran about the campus the whole day trying to avoid colors, but was not 100% successful in doing that. Poor boy! But he had his huge share of sweets, courtesy his friends.

Watched “Silverhawk” and “League of Extraordinary Gentlemen” on Star Movies. Liked the former one better. Liked the stunts of Michelle Yeoh. Her smile is very sweet.

Will go watch “Black” with Tuktuki and Babu. Hope it is as good as it is being publicized.
